According to gm1230126 the 92 Avalanche was made by Toyo in Japan. If anybody would know about this he would. Still not a Taiwanese bike.
This really needs to be sorted out as their is a very good chance this will be the BOTM winner IMO .

So you're showing us a US tubing sticker for why? ;)

Hmmm. All very nice. The Giant and the Parkpre with the matching forks (REKIBorter's) equal third for me, then the Bridgestone, but by a tyres width the Jamis. Succker for red, me.

I'd be happy to own any of them (except the e-stays, which do not appeal aesthetically at all).

Narrowed it down to four:
Mossy's 1992 GT Avalanche (If made in Taiwan, which is questionable)

manbeer's Barracuda A2E

klasse's 1991 Bridgestone MB-0 Zip (not the first bike I think of when thinking "Made in Taiwan" ?!?!)

kaiser's KHS Montana XT

I agree - and I can't confirm if the silver foil sticker on the headtube read made in 'Japan' or 'Taiwan'. I have loads of pics when i picked the bike up, but none showing the said sticker - typical!

Kindly, if any member has a pic of the head tube sticker to confirm where the frame was made then that would be great.

If I have no evidence by Sunday, it's only fair / right that I pull the Avalanche from BoTM.

John / community – sincere apologies for causing any inconvenience. i should have done my homework first.

I saw one or two lot of time ago in Poland, and I remember than I liked them :)
