Off topic: a particle physicist could explain where the lines on dbmtb's picture came from, but I'm not a particle physicist so I won't bother trying.

whoa, lugged MAX OR...didn't think that was done...for good reason, or perhaps I'm thinking of another Columbus tubing set.

I guess it would be heavier (not that it was an issue given Max OR's general heft already) and not so flexible re design. That said, on this bike I think it really works. It is one of the few Italian MTBs (the Colnago Glico is another) that captures the real "Italian" flair of the road counterparts.
