Next up on the coolwall is the Girvin Flexstem. Is a stem which provides around an inch of suspension travel via an elastomer cool? As ever you decide.

Here are a few pics to help

I thought they were cool bitd.
But they weren't. They were just shit.

They are most definately not cool. For those who couldn't afford Rock Shox. And didn't like steering.

Agree totally BITD i thought that as is all suspension on mtb's

My god how I wanted one of these as a kid, I thought they were so cool! Alas, I also wanted baggy trousers like MC Hammer and a bum bag, upon reflection, I clearly was misguided.

Not cool, utter cack in fact.

I'll buck the trend and go COOL!

Cheap alternative BITD and moved on to the totally cool Girvin forks... :D

Having said that never ridden one...

Cool. I always seem to have had one. It all started off with a cromo 150mm luminous yellow one in 1992.

I've never been on the "winning" side of the cool-uncool debate. So in an effort to ruin the Flex Stem's chances of being uncool, as it most certainly is, I'm going to vote COOL! C'mon Reverse Psychology!

Although I liked 'em bitd I never really wanted one and agree that most people who got one probably really wanted suss forks.

Uncool.
