What sort of crank do you need? I've got a brand new in the packet diamond back one piece one you can have cheap. Postage will be a few quid though as its quite heavy

@Bendycat - interesting offer but surely if I took off the crank, calipers and levers for my bike I would be still left with a bike that still needed a crank, calipers and levers?!
Sort of defeats the point of it...

Hi mate,
Thanks for that - I have decided the bike is going to cost too much to rebuild and it would be cheaper for me to buy one complete and refurbish it.
I'll give it to my neighbour who helps underprivileged kids to build their own bike from a pile of parts...
