Stunned by BMX prices!!

...Thought I would have a trip down memory lane and looked at a couple of BMX bikes that I had way back on ebay with the thoughts of buying one...a Raleigh Super Tuff Burner and a 24" Kuwahara to start with. I just couldn't believe the prices they fetch!! Am I just out of touch, but £300-400 for a decent mag burner and I saw a Kuwahara 24" go for over £700!! I'm sure this has been said before but really wish I had hung onto mine now!

I have tried for a while to decipher BMX pricing, it seems rather random to an outside viewer. (as I am sure pricing for road bikes does as well) But yes I have seen some incredible results like a set of bear trap pedals that were well over $700. And they were scraped up!

Thinking that I may need to stick to retro MTB rather than BMX!!! Shame as I rather fancied a BMX again! I am now back living in the area where I used to ride them and 30 years on the nostalgia as I walk my dog around the woods I used to ride my BMX is strong... :cry:
