Just bought this Oscar Egg .

seller thinks it is from 50s .

yes he was in 1936 to be precise .

his lugs are very famous from what i can see on internet , and he invented 2 types of rear mech .
 
Oh yes, very nice. Get rid of that saddle though!

What is the rear mech? Is it a single jockey wheel version?

Jimmy Saville used to ride an Oscar Egg (still got it I think) which is why he used to call himself 'Oscar The Duke Saville' in his early DJ'ing days.
