Every Saturday morning at dawn a group of over 100 cyclists meet on the outskirts of Singapore City to ride one of two loops around the island before the heat of the tropical sun becomes unbearable.
Thousands of pounds worth of carbon fibre is on display. However, the odd steel frame can still be spotted providing a constant reminder to those who ride them of club 10s, town centre criteriums and the days when they they were winding it up at the front rather than hanging onto the back.
