Take time out from the road. Practice enforced rest and reflection. Life in the saddle is so intense and tactile that you really need regular periods for digesting what you’ve done and seen.....

Right here goes from a newbie to this site. I'll do this one first, it started live as my grandads BSA tourer hack in 1963 and was passed on to me in 1978 I destroyed it riding it to work and the frame spent 20 years behind my shed. I decided this was not right, hauled it out in 2011 to find the chainstays had rusted out the back end of a 70 Falcon racer went in and with the frame sorted its gone together like this;

Frame-BSA/Falcon mix adjusted from 26/27" to 700, BSA forks.
Tubing-Unknown steel
Lugs-?
Size-21"
Weight- 2.8lbs
Forks-1lb

Headset-Steel unknown make
Stem- GB
Handlebars-ITM millenium- (polished back to ally where exposed)
Bar Tape- Blue cotton over Deda cork.
Brakes-Cheap dual pivots.
Gear levers- Campag athena 8 speed
Front deraileur- Suntour 80s spec
Rear Deraileur- Falcon elan shifting 18/21 on sturmey 3 speed hub
Cranks- Campag centaur 10 speed
Chainrings 53/39
Bottom bracket- Campag Ultra torque shells.
Freewheel_sturmey archer
Cassette-no
Chain-Cheap 8 speed
Rims- cxp33 28 front/open sport 36 rear 700s
Hubs- Campag Record large flange front, sturmey 3 speed rear
Tyres Huchinson 700/23
Spokes, Dt swiss 2.0/1.5 front plain rear.
Saddle Brooks Colt (as yet unbroken)
Seatpost -Raleigh alloy

Weight about 27lbs

Its not something to ride every day but its something I want to ride and hold the memory of my grandfather. If you are interested I have a 753 framed road bike that is quite a bit quicker.

It is painted now, the 60s Royal Blue (Ford rattle cans) and laquered, looks great but fragile (chipping already), i'll leave it til it looks bad and then think about 2 pack.
Quick note to admin, I should'nt be in this thread, I should have started a new one (any chance you can kick me further down?).

Hi, Not sure which model it is, appears to be in Team Panasonic colours, Ser No does not seem correct (think it should have 2nd Letter)

Information on age/model would be appreciated, will provide more info when I find it
