Just arrived in the post today :D

Bought one 18 months ago, sold it to a mate, regretted it ever since...............

This one turned up the other week, so i snapped it up

The EX is the "pro" model, much rarer than the AX. Built using Litespeed tubes with merckx geometry. Depending who you listen to, it was either built by merckx or by Litespeed...................

Will build with non period  Campag

Hi mate
Another lovely machine.
Where was this one from? Bet it wasnt cheap ;)

What a frame. From memory I thought litespeed did all the merckx stuff? The chainstay and seatstay ends look very 'litespeed' too. I stand to be corrected though...

Jamie- the US, and no' it wasn't cheap :?

John- i would say more likely than not it was assembled by litespeed. However it has Merckx century geometry and has been built very well by someone :D

I confirm, welded by litespeed, but with EM specifications.
I have an article on it. I have to scan it.
but, you are sure about the carbon fork ? I remember it with a steel brazed fork…

just for reference
there's a lot of internet hearsay but... the EM AX's were built by Litespeed, the EX's (and Titane's) were custom built in house*

*at least in 1997
been researching my lastest purchase :D :D
