Panasonic PR 6000 from 1990

I first saw this bike in 1990 on he front cover of that year's Nissan Classic programme. I wanted one ever since. One came up on Ebay earlier this year, it had been rebuilt with Shimano 105, the only original component was the Dura ace 7400 bottom bracket.
The seller agreed to split the frame from the componets, it had a dent on the top tube and I wanted a project so I bought it. Normally I respray everything, but two things convinced me to keep the original paint, I coundn't get replacement decals and almost all the decals were painted on - really cool.
I purchased an aluminium dent block online and this worked very well on the dent and I am currently gathering up the various components for the build - will be slow,
but I will get there.

The Panasonic virtual museum had a PR 6000 built up with light blue Mavic Open Pro, I liked the look so I am going to have the wheels built up with the tubular version.

Congratulations Pat - for finding such a beauty. It needs a lot of love and care ... and a of bit restoration :mrgreen:

I have one from the begining 90s in a authentic Team TechSpec excl, the correct wheels ... correct are for mine are MAVIC GP4 2nd Gen tubulars rims
