Reynolds 753 in Holdsworth Orange: Mavic SSC Groupset

Fifthgrace

Retro Guru
I thought it might be interesting to document my frame+ fork upwards build of this English-built Reynolds 753 frame and 753 fork. Frame and fork came with English/Italian threaded MAVIC 312 Headset and the rare 600RD SSC Mavic BB (116mm spindle, English threaded). It started with the thread here, and a Mavic SSC groupset...

.......but this is where the build will be documented and hopefully finished!

Wheels are Nisi Toro NOS tubular rims, rebuilt by myself and Swallow Cycles in Ironbridge using NOS Miche professional 32h hubs, a Super Record hub copy with oil ports (SC wheelbuilding course-recommended!).NOS Lion GT30 tubular tyres. Regina America screw-on 6 speed freewheel.

Smart looking build :). Just trying to work out which Holdsworth it is ? Is it a modern Planet X jobby?

Re: Near finished

Just needs front derailleur, chain, cables and bar tape to complete...

Thanks- it's vintage and original paint & Reynolds decals. Not a modern Mark Reilly- built Holdsworth Reynolds 753 (Planet X). I'm sure some learned individuals on this forum will work out the builder, but let's leave it a mystery for the moment! Is it a convincing Holdsworth!?

Hopefully it's a fitting tribute to Holdsworth who relaunch their pro-cycling team into the spotlight.
