Joe Waugh 753.....

Ret spotter

Dirt Disciple
I have been looking for the right 753 frame for a long time. Owning another Joe Waugh 525 framed bike I bought this one locally for not a lot of moneys. The bike has no rust or dents, has the obvious light scuffs but is full campag and rides like a dream. Mavic wheels with Vittoria corsa tubs and regal saddle.

I can't decide on the colour of bar tape though? I need some new brake hoods as the campag ones are slightly ripped. I have some nos black hoods which may look good with a red leather and a nos black rolls saddle... Decisions decisions.... . Also a sneaky look at my colnago which I'll take some photos and show soon. Enjoy...

Re:

Fantastic bike!

Has to be white bar tape for me. Red would be too much I think.

Where did you find it?

Mike

It is a very nice bike. Searching Gumtree at all hours of the day and night eventually paid off!

I think white leather will be the way to go and I'll get some white hoods to keep ot original.

Re:

Oh that's very neat, I like it a lot.

Yup, much though it pains me to agree with Mike on bar tape, it has to be white.

BTW, any idea what those bottle cages are. I'm after something like that from my latest build.

Re:

Took the Waugh out today rides perfect after afew tweeks. Could do with new brake pads but shifts smooth as a hot knife through butter. Probably going to get some new wheels purely for aesthetics. Used some nice old pinarello bottles today.... Needed a good wash first.
