I'm a new poster round here but have been a regular viewer of the threads involving terry Dolan era Cougars.

I got my first one early last year and, well... I'm hooked.

Number 1 was pretending to be a Flying Scot when I got it from a work colleague... a bit of research showed me that underneath the British Racing Green was (technologically at least) a better frameset than the Scot, and so it began...

Roll on a few months and I'm randomly looking at Cougar 653 bikes on the net.

Up pops this one on ebay... As a Bianchi owner of nearly 30 years, that mix of Celeste and fluoro orange was too much to resist.

Unfortunately, I forgot to post a bid (may have had something to do with a Christmas party) but when the auction ended with the frameset unsold, I managed to do a deal.

It was obviously meant to be!

New stem, bar tape on...bish bash bosh.

Terrible photo unfortunately. I think my phone wasn't able to cope with the fluoro orange in natural light!

They both look excellent, but I especially like your new addition, it's just so.... 90's.

Ooooh nice... SLX tubing?

Mine are both 653... First Reynolds bikes I've ever had (and I'm well into double figures)
