Raleigh Record Sprint.

Just got hold of one these bikes from my past.
Mine was an early sprint I think but didn't have much in the way of gold (it had silver wheels, brake set and cranks.)
This new one is also an early one but gold brakes and cranks, campagnolo gears and silver Mavic wheels.
Ive just bought some correct black with gold hub weinmann wheels and intend to put it as close to correct spec as I can but it seems alot of versions where made.
 
The picture is your old one? Record Sprint SE, only available from Catalogues, had lower spec silver components and silver decals rather than gold

fairly rare beast these days..
 
Memory isnt what it was. I removed the stickers from my old bike which dosent help age it correctly. Might have been like this one I found on the net. Light mount on the forks 18 20 frame possibly etc. Ive seen some with centre pull brakes also. Many different varients. Was the campagnolo a special

I picked up a bargain one a bit ago to add to the list of bikes that I'll get around to.
That has all the gold parts, I think it's looks great! :)
