Maybe you like the old Kestrel bikes as much as I do. Here my newest bike, Kestrel 500 SCi with Shimano 6400 group and Spinergy RevX. My dream bike of the early nineties.

Would commute on that.

So what's it like in real life without the seat tube? Is the frame noticeably bouncier than a double triangle? I mean, if you stand over it and bounce your weight on the saddle, can you feel it flex?

No. I hope I find time next week to try it on a longer ride, so far it does not feel flexy.
