This is 'Aryton' (cost me a tenner), rescued from a scrap metal yard and built in early 2011. The original components are frame, forks, seatpost (now well & truly seized) and brake calipers. Frame is made of Reynolds 453 (probably just main triangle) which, apparently is single-butted tubes of steel alloy with manganese and titanium in it.
I've done maybe 7500 - 8000 miles in that time, mainly commuting. Gearing in the pic is 48x17 although I sometimes use a 46-tooth chainring.
It's brilliant to ride and I rarely get overtaken, which is quite an achievement as an old scrunger of 48!
It's looking a lot more ropey than when these pics were taken. In the spring it'll be getting a renovation and repaint. I need to find a local powdercoater...
I had one of these in the late 80's, sadly sold in 94/95. It is a great frame. Mine had many incarnations and I wish I had just stored it away! It is nice to see one again thanks for posting the pictures.
