Old School Hero
I recently completed restoration of a 1981 Lotus Super Pro Aero, the first of the "aero" racing bikes showcasing the then new Shimano Dura-Ace AX components and Tange Aero Dynamic tubing. These were made by Tsunoda, Japan, for Lotus and were the only ones made of Tange Aero in butted tubing rather the more common D.P.G. (Double Plain Gauge tubing).

Not too struck on the handlebar stem, Personally I think it needs a DA AX stem.

Other than that I have a lovely 'stiffy'

Re:

Oh no... the Nitto Crystemblue stem (the first detachable plate stem which came out in 1980) and the ADX 'bars were original to these machines and uber rare now although Nitto has reissued the 'bars I think. The catalogue spec listed the AX stem but none of the actual bikes were fitted with them.
