Here is my 'new' bike that arrived yesterday.

It's an Imholz cycle made by Alois Imholz of St Gallen Switzerland.

Needs two new tubulars and some new brake hoods, other than that just a bit of surface rust under the BB. I think it is 1974. ( based on my limited knowledge of campagnolo parts and the 'patent 74' stamped on the mech :D )

Nice :) might just be a bit before 1974, track type forks on road bikes had sort of died out by then. I wonder if they are from another bike as the Weinmann 500 calliper has the brake blocks right at the top whilst the rear has the blocks half way down. I wonder even if a Campag Piccolo front brake would work ?

Cracking chrome work too :)

Re:

:D thanks

I think the double crown forks reduce the drop on the front brake blocks.

Anyone tell me me where/whether I can get new wienmann hoods?

Yeah, yeah, I know I should use the search

You are right about the frameset being earlier, a swiss bike expert had a look at it and he said the frame was early 60's.
