That's one of the best 979's I have seen, and that includes the ones I saw first time around in the 80's!

Almost identical to mine when I had it back in the late 80s.

My only gripe with this one is the black stem looks out of place and I would have opted for silver even though the Mavic 440 has black in it and I guess you were trying to tie it in with that

Looks Great!

Very similar spec to my own except that my Mavic headset wasn't suitable for the French thread forks.
