Just built this up last week as a single speed for now after finding this frame online. It's a bit tatty with rust spots which I've mostly rubbed down and touched up but still considering a respray, rides beautifully all the same .There is no tube sticker on the frame so no idea whether it's Columbus SL or SLX.
It's 126 spacing and I'm thinking about kitting out with a Dura Ace 7400 7 or 8spd drivetrain , at the moment I'm running Phil Wood hubs and have an old 126mm Phil freewheel hub lying around which would be great for a 7spd but wondering whether I'm better going for 8spd and maybe even early sti shifters ? Any thoughts on early sti are they reliable or should I stick with good old fashioned down tube shifters ?
