1980 Gios Torino Super Record - Chrome

Built up with parts from my stripped Colnago Master Olympic, an age-old ambition...to own what Roger De Vlaeminck rode! The handling is super sure, very comfortable and it looks stunning in the flesh. I went with Athena 11 as one of the few modern groupsets that compliments classic / vintage frames, and I haven't ridden downtube shifters since I was 13!!!

That is a stunning, headturning bike. Wow!

Having now forced myself to stop daydreaming about 'if only that were mine', I wonder if there is a way to introduce an extra flash or two of red to complement the rims? Perhaps some red or 'italian flag' finishing tape on the handlebar tape (this would also complement the bands on the painted panels).

Congratulations, that is something very special.

Now that is nice - well done sir.

I'd liked to have gone with highly polished alloy rims & chromed spokes to give it a wow factor as my own preference.

Are you a member of the Tall Persons Club?

Great! Did you put the chrome finish later? I think there never was a Super Record in chrome?

Love the saddle and the handlebar tape. Fits good and make it a complete an well mixed bike. Nice project.
