Gios Torino Super Record 1980

Gastheerg

Old School Hero
In 1980 in bought my first Gios Torino and I put some nice parts on it:

After a few years I sold it

Not long after that there was a lot of sorry, sorry.....................but the bike was gone.
Ok I had a new one and other etc.

But the feeling of the first Gios Torino never came back.

Till next week. I found one on a dusty loft

Complete bike with mostly original parts. Only pedals and brake levers are incorrect.
Yesterday I stripped the bike.

The paint is very bad and I going for a repaint job.

The parts are great. This stem was also on my first Gios Torino.

More to come................

Lucky You! I'm daydreaming of a find like that. When you've finished the rebuild, please publish some ( you know "5") pictures in the registro storico

I prefer the levers without the "drilled" holes. Just a little bit more classy.

This device is even bigger then Campa itself. Great design.

Cinelli stem with Gios panto

Seat post with panto. The coin is from my original bike in 1980. Gios put this coin on every frame, fork and all the panto components. I saved one!

More...............

I still got one of those, but looking for the matching frame... Aerodynamic or Super Record of '78.
Originals get over a hundred pounds without coin, BUT there is a fleabay Dealer in Australia who offers them as a Replikation on original Campagnolo Chainweel. Shop Name is gts753. He also offers several sorts of frame decals. Maybe that helps

For this project I was searching for some pedals. Pedals form this period are hard to find. Most riders swop there pedals for click types.
But then I found this bargain. 80 Euro complete with clips and straps. Not bad.

Sorry don't understand that comment. Maybe it''s a joke or I'm not familiar with the term "Polish Butcher".

The stem is original from late 70's early 80's.
