maybe sort out something better than nuovo record hubs with open 4 cd , have a spare set of the same open 4 cd wheels but with c record hubs, which look much cooler. Actually was thinking on modernising by swapping the whole group to modern xenon, or that would be not retro orthodox ? 8)

i would first establish her year . If you are itchhing to ride her then make plans for the forth coming winter.
bianchi celeste is a beautiful colour it still melts hearts today its so retro in its very self its just bathed in history!
columbus slx has racing pedigree and and i congratulate you on your purchase and for mentioning c record for the build
I just wondered if that satin blk and sticker was right ! i have seen more recent bianchi s with blk and a darker
green . some one here will know from the serial number.... wish i had those calliper's

hi mate, this thread is going nowhere ! i found out there is no id data base , my apologiese, however...
i am interested in the year it was made ,whether the black is original , what the original components were and if it truly is an slx .I would take some full side on snaps and start a new topic mate, cheer's.

Sorry that no one has posted here in a while. Based on the celeste and black paint scheme your bike looks like an '85 or '86 Bianchi in the team Gewiss colors. The fork crown is consistent with the X-4 model which is quite desired. Possibly the Centenario? if so then this will be engraved in the seat stay at the top tube. I seem to remember that there was a consumer model with the team Gewiss paint but I can not find the catalog. I have also attached a photo of Moreno Argentin on his X-4.

Just noticed the drop may be Gipiemme? Which would indicate a lesser model than either the X-4 or the Centenario, still worth looking into...
