I have been given this beauty today, I think the year is 1979 looking at the date codes on the Shimano wheel Hubs, and the front fork is not the cast alloy death fork, I only know this through a quick search on Google.

So who owns one and enjoys riding it, Is it worth restoring or breaking ?

That looks really close to the one I had. Aggressive riding position and I really enjoyed riding it. I regret getting rid of it, but needs must.

Rare bike but not worth much, so not much point spending too much on it. Definitely worth a strip, clean and rebuild though.

It has lugs but not a very early 1972 ish Lambert - Viscount or an "aerospace" so a later jap / taiwan frame with shimano and generic components.

Looks like it should shine up OK though :D

The frame has a decal on it saying it is hand made in England, but Viscount was purchased by Yamaha in 1978, I wonder if this one of the very last frames made by Viscount, this is what I love about old bikes, finding out the History. If I restore it to it's original form I assume the frames were sprayed rather than powder coated ?
