Picked this up today for my partner.
Its a '93 Avanti Pro Series, with all its original Exage 500EX group intact down to the chain and brake blocks. It has very little brake wear/residue on the rims and even the factory Panaracer Vivezza 24s were almost usable if not for perishing and the back one being worn square.
I popped a set of gatorskins on and am investigating another saddle and some less horrid bar tape.
Pics don't do the finish justice, its a burnt orange to burgundy (almost purple) linear fade which IMHO Klein would have been pleased with. The frame is not light but has smooth welds and delicately filled/smoothed braze ons.
Avanti are a New Zealand company, they design in house and contract out to Taiwan to build their bikes. The brand is a bit over 25 years old now.
