Colnago Mexico

Old School Hero
This was sold to me as a Colnago Mexico.

It's got a full SR set, partly pantographed. I had to change the brakes over though, the front was on the left. The tubes are crimped.

Beautiful.

I know what you mean by "this was sold to me as..." I have a Colnago that was sold to me as a Super and while I have no reason to believe that it isn't one, no amount of Internet research is able to anything more than confuse me!

Old Codger got a stutter

:D
Nice bike too. Is that the original paint job?

Don't think so. The forks are in good nick, but in infills are faded; whereas the frame looks brand new. A definate re-finish, I think.

Does that bother you at all?

Are there any numbers or letters stamped on the rear dropouts? They will be on the outside like in the photo.

Some Mexico's have them but I'm not sure if all of them do.

But that still won't mean it's a Mexico as Colnago along with some other Italian makers put them on their "specials".

I'm still trying to figure it all out too as I'm interested in getting a Colnago Mexico.

Nice pantographing, I like that. :D
