Waterford X-22 (does this count as a roadie or a 29er?)

Zzxxyy

Old School Hero
I use this X-22 mostly as a roadie even though it is a cyclocross.
Wheels are Mavic OpenPro Ceramic with Chris King hubs. XTR cantilevers, CK headset, Ultegra Chainset. Love it!

Nice thing you've done with the cabling of the mechs. Much better routing of the Shimano cables. Smart.... :D

That is lovely :p
lots of top class componentry - are those carbon wound up forks?
How many cm is the headtube extension? i'm thinking of getting 4cm added to my Bob Jackson!

thanks chaps. i got it new from the bike shop. it was not custom so unsure how high the head tube extension is. eyeballing it is about 1cm FWIW. a higher headtube would be more comfortable over longer distances. am thinking of getting a higher rise stem for extended tours. yes, it is a painted wound-up fork. :)

hi

Hi, lovely bike!
what tires are they and are they 700c?
im looking for a nice set of gum wall knoblys :)

Yes 700c. If I remember correctly they were panaracers. They have been swapped to really skinny road tyres now. Unsure where the original tyres are ....

Lovely, like the colour too. I have a Gunnar Crosshairs, also made by Waterford precision cycles. The Gunnar is the 'budget' Waterford though.
