Straight or raked forks

Would it be true to say that forks with a rake are more comfortable than straight forks as i am in the process of making the ride a little easier.

It really depends on the ultimate rake of the forks and what they are made of (bar tape, gloves etc)....what are you trying to eliminate? buzz through the bars?

I get occasional back problems being 11 feet tall. Comfort is nice but I have straight Kona P2 forks as I found, from experience, position is everything. Short stems, in-line seatposts, lovely saddle ( mine's the " comfy razorblade " Flite ti ), frame size, grips and hand position....think about them all.

I find that i feel every bump in the road with straight forks and with the roads being in the state they are makes an uncomfortable ride and i'm thinking that most of the bumps are going straight up the forks and through me arms. The bike before this one had raked forks and remember that to be more pleasent and the handling being smoother.
