Harry Hall

This has now been fully cleaned and in daily use so I'll take some new photos soon. Just wondered if there's any Harry Hall experts on here that could take a guess at the year it was built?

I bought it from a guy who did a lot of time trials on it, the amazing thing is the paintwork is just about mint! One careful owner :) I'm guessing it would be late 70's?

Thanks for all your comments, and very well spotted Old Ned, they are indeed CLB calipers. I'll take some new photo's this weekend, so watch this space :)

Nutted brakes (as opposed to recessed) point towards late 70's rather than 1980's.

I believe they are Prugnat lugs.

I've got a frame with the same amount of brazons; cable guides on top of top tube, over bb cable routing, but no gear lever or front mech braze ons. Also has nutted brakes, rear end is 120mm (Campagnolo short dropouts).

Is that the original paint? It looks like a respray given how shiny and clean it looks, and there's no tubing sticker.

Nice H.H.

Apart from the forks ,the frame looks much the same as mine, except of course the original paintwork, what a find.btw. do you have a number stamped into the frame ,under the bottom bracket ?

Oddly, there's no sign of a frame number, although I've only had a quick look. Difficult to say with the paint, if it has been resprayed at some point I would say it was many years ago. It does have some age marks. The quality of the paintwork and lug lining is 1st class.

Some more pics. I've not changed anything as it rides so well. Altough its a bit of a mixture of parts. SULKY brake levers, CLB calipers, Campagnolo Gran Sport FD, Suntour SRX RD, Campag gear levers, Maillard large flange hubs with Rigida rims, but what I love is the Nervar Star chainset.
