1984 Panasonic DX-4000

Dirt Disciple
Feel fortune to have found a nice example of an '84 DX-4000. I've been hunting for one for more than three years and have seen only two for sale during that time and neither were in good condition. This one is still all original down the the bar tape and saddle.

Will post more photos once it arrives and I've had the chance to properly overhaul it. :D

Nice looking bike indeed and with the great Shimano 600ex groupset... did it really come as standard with that plastic kashimax aero saddle?!!! I used to have one on my kuwahara laserlite and walked like John Wayne for hours after a ride

Yes, the saddle is standard although it is actually suede and thinly padded.
I too had a Kashimax Aero saddle on my Redline BMX bike back in the 80's, but unlike you I simply loved mine. Then again, I was young an perhaps a bit "narrower" back then. haha

I'm somewhat excited to ride this DX-4000 with the Kashimax Aero on it when it arrives. I don't believe my butt has been in contact with a Kashimax aero since 1993 when I retired the BMX bike.
