Always lusted after one of these in 1984 but settled for a Raleigh Competition, funny thing about your bike is my surname is Allington.

I was at one point going to buy Shawn's RRA but the wife would not allow it
But later down the line I finally made her give in after I pleaded with her!
Even begging her at one point! The wife is not a bike lover but when I
got my RRA, she said... ''it screams quality''

This is not Shawn's bike but a NOS one from Germany

This is my 1984 Record Ace which is mostly original except for Mavic MA40s and a Shimano 600 rear mech and 13-21 block. I've had it since new and am getting back into riding it again after a long lay off.



I've just managed to replace the Specialized Touring II tyres with some NOS Turbo S models which don't have the crumbly sidewalls.

After a test ride with a modern wheel set, I come to the result: Never before I have driven a better road bike.

That's what you get with a quality Raleigh, the engineers knew exactly what they was building.
