Today's purchase,
Yet another Champion Mondial, this time a AA-special frame of 1984

Exact the same as this frame,
but it's to dark to take a picture now (will post one tomorrow)

Sounds good, I really like the blue on blue contrast.

This is how the complete bike looked when I bought it, got a lot of restoring/cleaning and replacing to do  Will probably sell it because it's to small for me

the price for the frame and forks alone was 1165 Dutch guilder back in 1984,(http://jvs.webklik.nl/page/gazelle)

which is about £450 right now, add inflation to that amount, and this wasnt even the top of the line.. AA-super and 753 were even more pricey

Hey! That's my size. If it had a chromed fork I'd be very tempted. Ufff!

I have one in blue too from 1981. Here "she" is.

It seems a darker blue? You have brussels blue, gazelle blue and saphire blue?

Im going for a blue and (light) grey look for this restoration..

Yes it's darker than yours. Can't say I know the proper name.

Lovely Gazelles, I thought the seat tube panel was a light metallic blue from the first pictures, but this silver is very nice too.

My 1981 AA is pretty much as I want it, apart from the handlebars and brake levers, which I want to switch for an SR Road Champion and first gen Dura Ace non aero levers soon, to get them in line with the rest of the parts.

It's yet another early Gazelle Blue, I think it's Baikal Blue but it might be Amoer blue too, can't tell them apart from pictures.
