PART XVII

Every project has to have at least one NOS component :)

Mine will be a late 90ies Campagnolo Athena Crankset: http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx? ... &AbsPos=14

Image

PRICE= €61,45 (posted)
WEIGHT= velobase says 649grams (including chainring I suppose/hope)

I feel like I overpayed this item :( :
http://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/33069391227 ... 1423.l2649

Altough I did get some used Campagnolo Self Extracting Crank Bolts with these NOS cranks..

Brake Calipers arrived today! Ive spent a half hour cleaning/removing rust/polishing them and I'm pretty pleased with the result:

Also saved a few grams by changing the rusty washers with new ones,
and the Fork already has the allen key nut in it, so I could leave that out, which makes the total weight of the brakes 283grams

If I went for Campagnolo calipers, only SR or Record-D Skeletons would be a few grams lighter.. So this is the perfect budget alternative for light weight brakes :) -> They are (most likely) a Tektro R740 Road Brake Set btw
