Retro Newbie
Hello all, i am new to the forum and this is my first post. i have scouted around on here in the past but never owned a real retro bike until now.

I purchased this bike last night with the view to use it for commuting and just to be cool. i will no doubt turn it into a fixed gear/single speed eventually but i already have one of those so i will leave this one with gears for now.

could anybody hazard a guess as to what year it may be as i can't really find any info about this bike?

and also i am going to upgrade a few things on it but not sure what colour scheme to go for with the original paint work, any ideas welcome.

thank for looking

Thanx for that link i will have a look through it. When you say seat pin do you mean the actual seat post?

any colour scheme suggestions? i was thinking white seat, bar tape, tyres etc but not sure i could keep it all white. I think yellow would make it daft but i don't really know. Possibly brown tan colours?

aye, the seat post... sure there'll be no problem but you do see wanted ads for them quite regularly! Looks like you'll have a nice bike there after plenty of elbow grease. Stem looks rather high  :D

the right size seat post are rare guessing 24.6 mm as that is the common one . main thing is to use it and enjoy it . i would also guess late 80's early 90's hubs are bound to be date stamped .
