Mystery steel frame (early '60's)?

Hi,

I've got my hands on this beautiful frame.

I really like the frame, but would love to know what it is so that I can have it built back up to something that looks "right".

If there is anything at all that you can think of that may help identify it, I would be very grateful.

Lugs: Nervex Professional
Nervex serial: 58° 64° D22E38
Cable guides: Brev. Campagnolo
Dropouts: Brev. Campagnolo
Headset: Zeus B.S.C
Handlebar: Cinelli Milano (red gravure)
Stem: Cinelli Milano

You cleaned the paint off?

If you did surely the was some evidence of transfers - they do leave a"shadow".

A frame I bought(I knew what it was though)had been hand painted several times...with the judicous use of Nitromors I found evidence of the original transfers - making the resto much simpler.

Nervex lugs were used extensively over a long period(and even after their manufacture had ceased)and don't really help that much with identification - in combination with other clues they might - on their own a big no-no.

Just a thought.

The Nervex lugs are nice, but not super special. The finishing of these-poor shorelines-on this frame leads me to believe this is not a premier league frame.

There's no fork-which might provide a clue.

Problem is whoever cleaned the frame had little or no regard for identifying it, they've just gone gung-ho and removed the paint as rapidly as possible.

My view might not be popular but a guess is this is a reasonably mass produced frame made by a builder building for the cycle trade. In other words a builder who isn't putting his name on the frame.

Thank you all for the help to identify this frame :)

Cause there is nothing on the frame that gives a clue, i've decided to paint the frame by myself and give it a personal touch.

It will be done in a few days :D
