A friend of mine asked me to build him a bike to promote his clothing business. After some discussion we settled on a beach cruiser, since the fixie thing has been done to death. So after a little search i found this little beaut in the corner of my favourite bike shop in Melbourne, Pista Bikes. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000885971525&sk=wall After a chat with John we decided on a price and I picked it up today. The bike is a Pennini Cicli. And no, never heard of them either and google hasn't either it seems! Never mind as this bike will be rebranded and refinished soon enough. So to the good points: Shimano Nexus 7 speed rear coaster hub, classic cruiser frame and half decent rims. Bad points: Saddle is hideous, bars really cramp up the cockpit, pedals look like they are off a QVC exercise bike.... All this is immaterial since the bike will be rebuilt and the best bit is, not a penny of my money will be spent and I get a blank cheque!
