I've uploaded some more to my website Please take a look.

http://www.tt-fun.com/gallery/bike/index.html

I can share details of where it was resprayed / rebuilt.

The frame, handlebars, wheels and seat are original the other parts are all original "new old stock" direct replacements, sourced from all around the world.

And yes it did cost a whole lot more than it is worth to sell. :)

The purists amongst you will notice that the modern computer, bottle holder and pump are not authentic. But they are all removable should it get a part in an 80's movie. ;-)

I am happy to answer any questions.

Real labour of love that one, magnificent bike used to drool over these in my LBS when I was a kid :D Well done for a great restoration :D

Holdsworth.

Very nice bro,

nice to see a Holdsworth (too few about), as I am about to embark on the restoration of my own 1975 (Campag equipped) Holdsworth Professional.

Owned from new...a lucky schoolboy!

Cheers, Roadking.

Really nice looking bike, great colour and a superb restoration.

Always wanted a Holdsworth, they were a step above the average racer in the 70's & 80's.

:D :D :D

Hi All,

Thanks for the encouraging comments.

The SR crank arm is actually the original. I put new pedals, new chain rings and a new bottom bracket, so it was a piece that I didn't have to source. (new = NOS) (which in turn means new and unused. There are no second hand parts added to the bike.

The front and rear derailleurs are also original, whilst the rear free wheel is NOS.

The quick release leavers and gear shift levers are also NOS.

Here is a rough table of all the parts:

Part..........................Name/make.........................Original or replaced with NOS

Handle Bars...............GB Premiere Marque.............Original
Stem.........................GB Avanti Biba.....................NOS
Brake Levers.............Weinmann............................NOS
Brakes......................Weinmann 500 sidepull..........NOS
Hubs.........................Suzue 36 holes.....................Original
Quick Release............Levers with Suzue Close........NOS
Pedals.......................Lyotard 82...........................NOS
Clips.........................Sturmey Archer....................Modern replacement
Crank.......................SR 165 78j 52/42..................Original
Chain........................DID Lanner Japan.................NOS
Seat..........................Kashimax Aero 7382 ............Original now re-covered in white leather
Seat post...................Strong n.s. 1 Japan fluted Nankai Ringyo.....NOS
bottle cage Kingfisher but maybe should be Mira alloy?...modern replacement
Freewheel Regina ORO 14 15 16 18 20 22...........NOS
Bottom Bracket..........Japan 1.37x24...........NOS
Wheels super champion Gentlemen..................Original

Glad you all like it, kind of makes all the effort worth while!

Finally the frame respray and rebuild was done by Argos Racing Cycles in Bristol using the parts I sourced.
