Early '80's Motobecane

Retro Guru
Well finally I have my Motobecane on the road...and I am well pleased. There is a bit of a story behind her.

Had been seeing alot of great bikes getting the 'fixie' treatment. Couldn't go down that route but my interest was back on to the retro rides.

Won £100 quid on the lottery and scavenged around for a suitable bike, having rode a Pug back in my youth.

Saw I bicycle advertised as a Puegeot Super Comp...it was this Motobecane badged up as a Pug... strange... anyhow the bicycle was speaking to me....deal done..... refurb time.

I stripped her down and enlisted the services of Tony at Retroride to help with the respray and rebuild. A true gent I can recommend his services.

It has turned out to be a homage to the Luis Ocana TDF bike... yes I know that was the '70's but I like orange.

Anyway now I have what I consider to be a crisp looking machine that I will enjoy putting the miles on....

Thought I would share the experience as my wife thinks I am a mentalist.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me with questions and requests/pointers etc.

Toomski...oh yeah check out the before and afters.... blue/white pug to pure orange 'Moto'
