I worked in a bikeshop a few years after that , the Gitanes we sold were a mix of parts ,all I remember of the top of the range bike was the metallic blue paint and it had EDCO cranks. ( I do remember lots of Maillard Helicomatic cogs too but not sure which model had them)

edited to say I am in Australia and the Gitane USA catolog shows all Campag on the top bike ?

Very nice bike - was reminded of this thread as today I was out for a walk and saw a similar Blue Gitane pass me. From the quick look, didn't have the number holder that yours has.

I like Gitanes for some reason.

I just had at look at your TT bike DA-EVO , very nice , I wonder why the Frenchies put a Time TRAIL logo on the top tube

If it was a typo, it was on both sides :)

Anyway, a day to remember Gitane bikes after the passing of Fignon.
