"Underground, overground, Wombling free,
The Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we,
Making good use of the things that we find,
Things that the everyday folks leave behind
"

As the Wombles sang... I'm making use of stuff other folks have left behind! Mostly from the tip.

Frameset: Ribble Sportive Racing - full carbon (tip)
Wheels: Shimano 105 on Mavic Open Pro (tip)
Saddle, bars, bar ends, grips, shifter, brake levers, pedals & toe clips (tip)

Tyres, cranks, BB, cables, brake pads, chain (my knackered parts bin)

Brakes, seat post and headset (karma from here, thanks to jm and bloke at my work)

Cassette (from my Dad's knackered parts bin)

Inner tubes (left on the road after last year's Ride London  )

So, I've only had to add a rear mech and a new gear cable inner (Wilkson's finest :D ).

It rides really well, but the chain jumps off the front ring which I need to sort. I have experimented with spacers to get the chainline perfect with the centre sprocket.

Re:

It's absolutely criminal what people throw away! I visit the tip quite regularly and there are always old bikes / wheels etc there - unfortunately, once stuff goes in they won't let it out. You obviously have an obliging fella working where you go!

And you can't beat something for nothing!

Re:

I've ridden it, put it back to single speed (with a lower ratio) and now I'm bored with it and need the space in the shed.

Back to the tip?!

Hopefully to search for a new one and not to throw this away
