Ugo goes Titanio or how a 1994 Gewiss-Ballan Replica emerges

In 1994 on the stage to Campitello Matese, a young Russian simply let the great Basque Miguel Indurain stand on the climb and laid the foundation for his victory at the Giro d 'Italia ...

This young Russian Yevgeny Bersin from Vyborg rode one of Ugo DeRosa's most beautiful frame sets in 90s --- The DeRosa Titanio.

Many years ago I intend for a replica of such a team bike to find its way to my small collection .

... but I searched for such a frame set in Gewiss-Ballan-Coulouring for many years in vain - and now here the first pics of a beautiful base for my long-term planned 'Project of a 1994 Gewiss-Ballan Team Replica on a DeRosa Titanio…

It's beautiful! it's resprayed and why you combined it with a LOOK forks instead of the EL fork ???

On my side many years ago when I study pics within www. for my Banesto - it was an idea to built a Probike Replica of a Gewiss-Ballan sometimes too.

… really - I had two chances a DeRosa steely Giro Italia type of a real and rare Titanio. Both versions are very rare and you need a lot of passion to find it
Then I found someone who has been interesting to a modern TIME frameset and he had this Titanio and it was too big for him

So agreed that we are looking together for a TIME VXRS or VXR - we found this a.m. TIME in France near Paris, it's really a real Cofidis Teambike. But in France
Teams sell all their bikes at the end of season … so I couldd bougth it and got the DeRosa Titanio for it plus add. money

so in the meantime … swapped here from Australia for further progress ...
a really beautiful 8-Speed Campagnolo RD 21-10RE - yes its a Record type, which is more curved than da Chorus

You were very lucky and patient.

Mine is not resprayed, at the time they made it with different colors from the DeRosa catalog. I've seen dark blue and even yellow for example.
Wanting to use it often, I have modernized and lightened up mounting a 10V DA7900 and modern components. (keeping all the originals naturally)
