"Casino" Cougar

Bahahaha.

I'm gonna put a video on YouTube of a pair of square downtube cable adjusters being cleaned in a bath of caustic soda.

Ill send you the Allen bolts once they're "clean"

Theyre not original fittings though. The frame was bare except for the headset and binder bolt when it appeared on LFGSS.

Interestingly, it looks like it did get built and ridden by the previous (to Mike) owner. This of course assumes my detective skills are accurate.

It seems that there are two known version of this frame, the other having a Shimano 600 headset.

Blimey and I thought I was nerdy when it came to Dave Lloyd frames.

You are the Cougar Stalker!

I now also have a Corrado frameset in Deda Sat 14.5... same guys building them as the earlier Cougars although I suspect Corrado were building for Cougar/Donohue and probably built this one.

It's got identical geometry and tube profile, but much lighter than the Zero Tre used in the Cougars. That one's third in the build queue.

I will get round to finishing this build soon... was working for my LBS for a bit doing wheels and rebuilds and then decided to create a proper workshop in my "workshop" shed rather than it just being somewhere my workstand could stand under cover.. Unfortunately, this meant I had nowhere indoors to work... so no progress.

The workshop is now operational, the ergo levers are overhauled and ready to fit and I have located the yellow look pedals... I even half-threaded one on... it looked amazing.

Black cables, yellow bartape, SILVER wheels and yellow buttoned Elite Ciussi cages ready to get fitted and fettled... I just need to get my finger out!
