Hi All
Way back in the mid 60’s I persuaded my dad to buy the above bike in Florentine Silver/Venetian Red. Even then it was an expensive bike, especially for a teenager not working whose only income was a paper round. Eventually after much pestering my father took on a HP agreement on the condition that I repaid him at £1 a week. Unfortunately the bike was stolen after just two weeks, and I had to continue paying my dad for the bike for another two years, my next bike was a tip job, and my first ever solo rebuild job.
As so few of these bikes were produced I wonder do any of the members have one? I would naturally love to see one now, and of course I would love to be able to make a RH my next project if I ever got the chance. We can still dream even in old age!

Regards your quest for a Reg Harris bike it might be worth your while looking on Ebay. Enter Reg Harris bikes as your search...

Currently there is a nice looking circa 1960 Reg Harris Giro D'Italia frame for £135 - no size but looks somewhere around the 21 - 22" mark, comes with a period headset and a larger looking but supposedly 22" size Lenton model frame for £195.

Have a feeling I read somewhere that Reg Harris bikes or frames were produced by Raleigh.

Good luck with it.

Shaun

Hi Shaun
Thanks for this information. I will have a look at the Ebay items you mention and see if I can get the full spec catalogue for the 60's Giro D'Italia to work out how much it will cost after considering a frame respray, to get the bike back on the road......... Thanks again.
