I have never used tubs.

How do you repair a p******e on the road?

Does the tape allow a 2nd fitting (ie. Fitting spare)?

I think you can use a “get me home” spray. Or carry enough kit to do it on the road side, apparently one of the advantages of this particular brand of tape is it peels off real clean, so a road side complete change wouldn’t be impossible, but then I wouldn’t want to carry that much kit unless I was touring, but then I’m not putting tubulars on my long distance/touring bikes, just on my vintage, show off on a sunny day, not far from home/car type bikes....

T– minus (RBotM June) 6 days & counting

I got lot done yesterday, but still not quite there yet. :?
After fitting the tubes, the wheels went on, plenty of tape over the rear drop outs whilst I fitted a Pista 1/8th chain, Italian quality without the Campy price tag… but of course it is designed to go on a fixie with a 48t (or less) crank, not this sodding 52t monster.
Fortunately, I had another in stock for my next project, so I took 4 links out of that…It’s only bloody money isn’t it? :(

Now I've got to rig the cable up for the 4 speed Sturmey, cable run is sorted, just no idea how this is supposed to work, best get reading more of Sheldon Brown's stuff...

Cable kit and roller wheel required.

Thought about that, but just too Pashley like for me... so I went down the normal derailleur route, apart from the very last as the gear stop is under the stay and too close to the mech.

Right, that’s it, I had a few more steps/photos to fill out a few more days, but to be honest, I just want to get her out there in the sunshine and ride…..

P.S. thanks for all the comments, PM’s and encouragements… much appreciated.

Chris.

A really nice job.

Not sure about the cables though. Do they need to be split and both go over the bars.

Yeah, I know what you mean.... I was running them at 6am this morning and tried half a dozen ideas, and eventually got bored... any visual suggestions?
