Help needed with age and model of this Legnano

Re:

The 70s and 80s ones have the seat post clamp behind the seat post, will as far as the ones i've seen on the net anyway.

Re:

Well, I'm going to throw my hat into the ring here and say late 70's or very early 80's.

I think your hat has landed in the right ballpark :D

Re:

Shaun has taught me well.

I'd say bars, brake levers, nutted brakes and bottle cage are all a giveaway.

Re:

That looks a lot like my Legnano Olimpiade Record Specialissima built with Reynolds 531. I've seen similar frames made with Falke and Columbus tubing.

I've not been able to nail down the exact year, but '79/'80 seems about right. This was when Bianchi owned Legnano.

Here's a Columbus version with a braze on FD and a sloping fork crown, http://mercatino.bdc-forum.it/p-165573- ... anni-%2770

Here's a '78 NOS bike, probably dated from the Campag RD date, https://www.steel-vintage.com/nos-legna ... 978-detail

Re:

I have just acquired this one , and i believe its late 70 early 80's due to the Portacatena drop outs

See this thread on cycle chat for more details Legnano
