Legnano Olimpiade finished project

Dirt Disciple
This is a project that I've just finished. I had collected a mix of Campagnolo and Dura Ace components, but no frame for quite a while. And then I picked this frame up locally.

If any Legnano experts could give me more info on the frame's year that would be great. It's late 70's, early 80's for sure.

Very nice! I quite dig the colour combination of the frame and the rims/tubulars. Purist might not want to agree on the campagnolo/Shimano combination, but I like it. Did you polished the brake calipers?

Thx. I polished the brake calipers, seatpost and pedals. I may also polish the chainset as there is scuffing to the ends of the cranks.

Re:

Time for an update on this bike. All of the DA parts were moved onto my '79 RIH.

This Legnano is now fully Campagnolo Record/Super Record with Cinelli bars and stem. Rims are Wolber Aspin Super Champion.

That's definitely one very lovely looking machine.
You have done a great job as it looks very smart with everything coming together nicely.

Re:

Thanks for the kind words.

The metallic blue of the frame and the gold/brown of the decals and tubs goes together well, so I might look for a suede brown Turbo or Rolls saddle to see how that looks.

Maybe even the gold and black Rolls would suite it?
Either way, it is in its current form a great looking machine, job very well done, enjoy it.
