Dave Lloyd, with a difference

Yeah, but the 7402 & 3 calipers and levers are MUCH prettier than the Dia Comps

(They were also the only Shimano group I've ever owned)

Re:

If they were good enough for Dave, they are good enough for me.

I may well go with the levers though.

Just had a look on the 'bay... There's not many out there.

The only calipers I saw were in the states and the levers were not cheap!

7402/3 stuff is all a bit pricey. I have a box load I put together for a Lemond TSX I keep threatening to build.

You have to pick it up as and when you see it. I think I may have a spare pair of levers in the garage that could use a polish.

Re:

All I have left is a replacement rear mech that has spent nearly 25 years in a box.

Sadly for me, the rear mech seems to be the least desireable bit of the group at current prices.

I guess I'm destined never to be rich!

Re:

I have some Tricolor 600 hubs laced onto Mavic Open rims, but I'll have a think about those rims, thanks.

Calipers are going to be BRS200, but thanks for the offer as anything 7400 can be hard to come by.

Re:

It is wet'n'windy here today, so the new fork mock up and subsequent photo had to be done indoors, and photographing a bike against a white wall with a flash gun is not the best.

Never the less you can see where I am going.

So, BLB forks fitted, thoughts?
