FREE to a good home Raleigh Rapide 1983
Been sat in garage 10 years so in need of restoration
25" 531 frame/forks in mint green all original condition decals etc
SR brakes/chainset Campag rear mech.
every thing works but tyres/tubes split.
too good to skip but too big for me .

My first road bike, from when I was 14! Twas a 21" frame which I eventually outgrew but was sad so see her go - especially as it went to my brother who did nowt with her and allowed her to rust away.

If this one was a 23" I'd have her in a second ...

Good luck with the sale. Nice bike, lots of good memories. Shame about the tyre tho :wink:

:o It looks just like that even down to same seat and bar tape!

Same frame size i,m guessing too .

Well spotted! very rare bike this .got it 20 ish years ago from local bike shop(Peak cycles, Matlock Bath) owner and keen time trialist .
Frame /forks 531C with "superb" engraved into seat stay ends where they meet top tube.Edco headset.
Suntour superb provide brakes and rear mech and handle bar shifter.
Campag large flange hubs and 28 Radially(bladed) spoked wheels front and rear (even rear drive side!).unusuall and ahead of their time I think.
Ambrosio tub rims.
Cinelli bar/stem
campag seat post.
If your interested can get pics next weekend .
