WTD: 8 speed downtube shifters for Shimano

No they aren't. Seller told me they were available so I sent the cheque this morning. A few hours later, he emails to tell me they are gone :( :evil:
 
Thanks in advance for checking, but will DA work with Shimano 600? I heard it had a different pull ratio - or does that just affect the rear mech?

old S indexed down tube shifters are all the same
 
I have a set of Dura Ace 9-speed down tube shifters, New in the box for $40 AUD. These should work with 8-speed just fine.

...or a set of Dura Ace 8-speed bar end shifters, also new, in original plastic for $60 AUD.

Thanks for the offer Toff, but a bit more than I wanted to pay. Perhaps some cheaper ones a little closer to home will appear ;)
