Hi All, so - friday night, drunken ali express purchase. I need to turn this back into cash so pursuing all avenues. It's a solid enough frameset, but at 54cm, it's just a smidge too big for me, and it doesn't offer anything my other modern bike can't do, and the boy isn't interested either. So here it is. Don't judge me too harshly.
Looking for around £300. Here's the gumph i wrote for an ebay ad which I can't really post:
Here is a Fasterway Carbon Fibre Disc frameset in a size 54cm. Stack 542, Reach 384. It’s never been built up. TO be clear!!!: It is not what it says on the tin, although it is a very tidily put together frameset, made in Taiwan. The frame weighs in at 990g and the fork a further 400g. It can take a mechanical OR Electronic groupset, and all frame spaghetti is still installed, so getting your internal cabling need not be a problem. If you choose to go electronic, that’s also no issue, as the bike comes with blanking plates for blanking off the gear cable ports. It comes with bearings for integrated headset, and the fork is a modern, carbon fibre, crown race free setup. Geometry and construction are, to my eyes, indistinguishable from the genuine article, although there are one or 2 finish defects which I have highlighted with my photos. It’s come to me from Taiwan, and is here in the UK with import duty paid, and no further fees to pick up. Included with the frameset are thru axles, headset (bearings for integrated type), steerer bung, seat clamp. Frame blanking plates and the little grommet that goes in the chainstay and houses the cable for a mechanical derailleur.
